Day 2 — Glide grows into a workspace feature
Glide, responsive website navigation, recovery safeguards and release preparation became the focus.
Retrospective entry written October 12 from the retained project record.
Making Glide practical
Top, left and right controls could overlay the page, reveal from a small indicator, delay retreat and pin in place. Pinned controls reserve room for the page. Hidden scrollbar fixes and actual browser captures documented that behavior.
A clearer public website
The website expanded with feature, Glide, setup, privacy, screenshot and release pages. Desktop mega navigation and a mobile menu helped visitors find the product’s capabilities and current limits. Phone and tablet screenshots showed the website, not mobile browser builds.
Protecting work
The release-candidate work added atomic local backups, tab/session recovery, conservative tab sleeping and more precise permission prompts. Restart recovery restores tab addresses and order, not unsaved drafts.
Preparing to ship
A Windows installer and verified portable update path were prepared. Production signing and installation gates stayed open instead of treating a beta build as v1.
